Consulting/Training: PATHWORKS Integration & Migration |
Wondering where to go with PATHWORKS? We’ve been designing and managing PATHWORKS solutions since 1987 and version 1.0 and can help you make sense of this complex environment. We know how things are supposed to work. More importantly, we know how to work around things when they don't, and help you move towards a manageable, state-of-the-art, networking environment. Our solutions aren’t base on theory, but solid Microsoft Networking experience that started over ten years ago with PATHWORKS 1.0 (then known as VMS Services for MS-DOS). Our PATHWORKS odyssey began with a project to move a department from host based PDP/VAX computing to a more user driven desktop environment. With the early success of the project, its supporting architecture and use spread from the thirty-user department level to its company wide use. Today this site supports over 1,200 users with both PATHWORKS and NT Servers. It's just one of several that we've helped successfully migrate from early PATHWORKS versions to an integrated PATHWORKS/Windows (or pure Windows) architecture. There's no typical PATHWORKS site. Our clients have run everything from a single PATHWORKS server sites, running DECnet only and supporting a handful of users, to OpenVMS clustered environments that are integrated with Windows and support over 5,000 users. This diverse base, and over a decade of experience, gives us a pool of knowledge that few can challenge. |
